Finds and Merges duplicates that ACT! doesn't

"We had a terrible problem with duplicates in our ACT! database. While most duplicate checking solutions that we evaluated found duplicates only if the names were spelled exactly the same way, DupChecker found duplicates with spelling mistakes and other variations. We have different teams entering the contact information, selling to and following up with the contact. The contact listing could be Robert Marchall, Bob Marchall or Robret Marchal. Information is spread across all three listings, making the database chaotic. Using DupChecker we quickly cleared them all and now have a reliable database. DupChecker is the best tool to remove duplicates from ACT!."

"eGrabber DupChecker's unique ability to find and merge duplicate ACT! records even when there are differences in the way names and addresses are entered allows us, at Nimlok Orange County, to keep our database clean, without spending hours in manual searches and merges."

"eGrabber DupChecker has cleaned up my ACT!'s primary database of 4000 names. Before, I frequently used the built in ACT! duplicate checker and even changed the comparison fields. It had not found a duplicate in the last three or four tests. I installed DupCheck and removed 200 valid duplicates. The amazing point, it did not have one false positive. Every duplicate was valid and caused by punctuation or minor detail. Because of DupChecker, I have merged the notes and history which provides more accuracy when I look up my experience with a contact. It is OUTSTANDING!"

"We have been long time users of ACT!™ The Add-on products from eGrabber have been extremely useful in our use of ACT!™. The AddressGrabber and eMail-Lead Grabber have been very useful in automating data entry and lead capture.

We have had issues with data duplicates in ACT!™. ACT!™ 2005-2007 does not include a very robust duplicate checking feature. The Duplicate checking is very rudimentary and basic. It requires manual checking of each duplicate record in groups of two. If there is more than 2 duplicate records for a given contact, you have to eliminate each record 2 at a time manually.

We maintain several databases with records up to 30,000 each. Manual duplicate checking was not practical or feasible. We had searched for a Duplicate Checking program for ACT!™ 2006 and could not find one to meet our needs. A local ACT!™ Certified Consultant recommend a NEW tool from eGrabber, eGrabber DupChecker.

The software was easy to install. The software fully integrates with ACT!™. You import the ACT database into DupChecker and it performs the dup check automatically. It gives a preview of the duplicate records. You can manually or automatically merge the duplicate records. The dup checking process is so good, there is not need to manually preview each merge. The automatic mode worked flawlessly. The record history shows the details of each merged record.

An eGrabber™ engineer helped install and demonstrated all the features with a GoToMeeting session. Support is excellent."

"DupChecker is the best way to remove duplicates from your ACT program. Most duplicate checkers only find duplicates if the names are spelled exactly the same way. DupChecker instead uses the fuzzy logic and finds names that appear to be a match. Why is this important? I had one client that had over 2000 duplicates. Different sales reps were entering the same contact so sometimes it was John Smith, John K Smith, Jon Smit and using DupChecker, we were able to clear these all up. If you need to clean up your database, DupChecker is a great tool to use!"
