1) Using “Range” Lookup in Date Fields

Suppose, you want to see all the ACT! records you created in the month of July, 2006. You can use the “Range” lookup to quicken your search. All you have to do is:

1.  Lookup on the main menu bar.
2. From the drop down menu, choose “By Example”.
3. “Contact Info” Tab.
4. Type a date range in the “Create Date” field in the following format (07/01/2006..07/31/2006).
5. the green exclamation point icon on your toolbar.

You will now be able to see all ACT! records created in July, 2006.

2) Build Contact Lists in no Time

Manually entering contact details everyday from online contact lists into ACT! is leaving me with less selling time. Is there a way by which I can capture contact details from these lists instantly without having to type each and every address into my ACT!?

With ListGrabber, you can capture them in no time. Just highlight all the contacts in any online directory and click on ListGrabber toolbar. The contacts are instantly transferred into your ACT! leaving you with enough time to focus on following-up with them.

Download your 10-day ListGrabber trial version at no cost and sell more!

  3) Eliminate the Risk Factor while Selling

The main reason why people don't buy something they need or want is that they are scared of ending up with something totally different from what they expected. They don't want to run the risk of losing money.

To counter this, offer a money back scheme in case your product doesn't meet their expectations. Provide free training to use your product. Offer them free after sales service. You will be surprised to see the trust in your products grow!

  4) Test, Test and Test your Promotions

Continually test and evaluate the effectiveness of your promotional campaigns. Analyze why certain promotions worked well, while others did not. The reasons could include target audience, offer and overall appeal of the ad including design, layout, messaging.

Use this information to your advantage and invest more in the promotional campaigns that worked for you.

Keep aside a small part of your advertising budget and efforts to research and explore new channels. The more you keep adding reliable channels, the more you benefit from their reach and appeal.
