  3) Rotate several marketing tactics

There are a number of avenues through which you can communicate your value to your potential customers. Therefore, to be successful, you should plan and use a variety of marketing tactics.

A well-designed, brief postcard message sent to your targeted market can generate a number of sales leads. You can use buddy marketing by including a promotional leaflet of another business in your brochure and requesting the other business to reciprocate. Use stickers and hand written notes appropriately to effectively promote your business.

Just repeating a marketing promotion will never be successful every time. Be creative and use different tactics for different seasons of your business.

  4) Ask Questions

To sell successfully, you need to understand why your prospect needs to buy your product. The only way to know why is to ask a lot of questions.

Be curious and ask questions about the prospect’s background and business. What are the challenges they are facing, the products / services that they are currently using, etc. Avoid switching into the sales mode when talking with the prospect. Pay close attention to the prospect’s body language and what they are saying.

Finally, after you have thoroughly assessed what your prospect needs, appropriately present your offer.
