How
can I use a customized ACT! contact layout that I created
in my PC, on my laptop too?
To view your customized layout, copy the layout file (*.cly)
into the ACT! installation folder of your laptop. Then create
an empty copy of your existing database and paste that database
on to your laptop.
You will now be able to view your customized ACT! layout in
your laptop as well.

If you want to make more sales, you will have to get new prospects.
For your prospecting to be effective and successful, you need
to make a plan and work according to it.
Create a prospecting plan based on your territory, conversion
rate, brand awareness and time. Ask your customers where you
can find new sales leads. Schedule a few hours every day or
week to prospect. Thoroughly prepare before calling and talking
with your potential customers. Create and practice a voicemail
message and a response to all possible objections.

tool. Make your business card well-designed, informative and
memorable.
In addition to your contact details, include a one liner about
your business, service or product in your card. This line should

the space on the back of the card by leaving it blank. You can
include a hand written personal note in the back, print a discount
coupon or some data that your clients refer often.
Give your card to every person you meet. If appropriate to your
business, leave your card in ATM counters, bulletin boards of
stores, and any place where your prospects visit. Include your
business card with all your correspondence and mailings. Conciously
