1) Hiding Activities from other ACT! Users

How can I schedule activities that will be invisible to other ACT! users?

You can hide an activity from other ACT! users by scheduling it as a private activity. To schedule a private activity

1. Select 'Preferences' from 'Tools' menu.
2. 'Calendar' & 'Scheduling' tab.
3. 'Scheduling Preferences' button.
4. Clear 'Make new activities public' option.
5.  'OK'.

Any activity that is scheduled will now be hidden from the rest of ACT! users.

2) Capture Contacts the Fastest Way

Manually entering contacts details into my ACT! leaves me with little time to do other tasks. Is there any tool, which can help me to capture these details automatically?

AddressGrabber helps you import critical contact details into your ACT! automatically, saving you 80% data entry time that you can use to do other important tasks.

All you have to do is highlight the address and AddressGrabber. The details are transferred into your ACT! instantly.

Download your 10-day trial version at no cost and become more productive.

  3) Sending One E-mail is not a Campaign

Don't send one long, boring e-mail to your prospects and call it a marketing campaign. A marketing campaign is a continuous effort. Send 3 to 4 compelling e-mails over a specific time frame. This will convince your prospects to take you seriously.

To get better results, follow a particular theme through out your campaign or try telling a story through a set of characters.

  4) Object Marketing

Object marketing involves linking your message to an object such as a pen, CD, coffee cup or anything that makes your product / service a selling proposition.

This concept is very effective for eliciting direct mail responses. If creatively used, you can reap huge rewards for a small investment.
