1) Removing Automatic Reminders

Do ACT! reminders such as back up, maintenance, etc annoy you? Well, if you want to remove or reset them, here are the steps to follow:

1. Choose File from the main menu bar.
2. From the drop down box, select Set Reminders.
3. In the dialog box that appears, you can indicate your preference for each reminder type.
4. Click OK.

2) Build Contact Lists with a Click

Manually entering contact details everyday from online contact lists into ACT! is leaving me with less selling time. Is there a way by which I can capture contact details from these lists instantly without having to type each and every address into my ACT!?

With ListGrabber, you can capture contacts in no time. Just highlight all the contacts in any online directory and click on ListGrabber toolbar. The contacts are instantly transferred into your ACT! leaving you with enough time to focus on following-up with them.

  3) Don't Ape your Competitors

It is important to be aware of your competitors’ strategies, but it is sometimes suicidal to implement them. What works for your competitors may not always work for you.

Differentiate yourself by finding an unmet need of your target market and position your marketing message around that. This way you give customers a compelling reason to buy your product.

  4) Target a Specific Market

If you believe your market is "everybody", your product will fail even before it takes off. Your product should address the needs, concerns and wants of a specific market.

Targeting a niche market reflects your product's USP. Your product can stand for only thing and for a specific set of people.
