If you have a message that you wish to send to one or more contacts at a time, ACT! can make that very easy. You can send e-mails, addressed individually to a single contact, a lookup, a
selected Group or Company. Here's how:
1.
Select Tools >> Preferences >> E-mail tab and choose your e-mail system.
Note: Internet Mail or MS Outlook can be used to send e-mails that use rich-text formatting. Other e-mail systems can send only plain-text messages from ACT!.
2.
Set the Composing Options to Send e-mails in: HTML (or Plain Text, as per your choice).
3.
To create a template, select Write >> Edit Template. Select a template and click Open.
4.
Edit the template as desired (add text, your signature, etc.) and save the template.
5.
Now, lookup contacts you wish to send your email.
6.
Select Write >> E-mail Message and follow the prompts to select the template to be used for your email and send it.
I often add new contacts to my ACT! database. I also frequently look-up contacts and schedule activities for them. Each of the activity takes at least 2-3 minutes which is very time consuming, considering that I work on at least 20 contacts every day. Is there an easy way to do this?

Successful sales and marketing professionals prospect constantly. They understand that prospecting is critical to a company's survival; without which, revenues will soon run dry up.
Ask yourself: What percentage of my current business is from new customers? For successful businesses, new customers are a significant percentage of their current total business.
Determine the days, the time, and methods you plan to use for prospecting every week. Establish a routine for these activities and stick to it. It will not only ensure your company's future growth, but also your own personal success.
Often, customer dissatisfaction is a result of not understanding what is important to your customers. Though you will satisfy your customer's general needs, you might not understand or deliver things that are of primary importance to your customer.
Make efforts to understand specific aspects of your product or service that matter the most to your customers. Understanding this will help you discover and address dissatisfaction as it originates.
