Track Activities on a Per-User Basis

Did you know that you can count the number of activities completed per user in your GoldMine? Here's how:

1. Select Tools >> Filters & Groups (Lookup >> SQL Queries in GoldMine 7 or earlier)
2. Click on the SQL Query Tab. Copy-paste the following:

select userid, srectype as Type, count(*) as Number from conthist where srectype in ('A', 'C', 'M') and ondate >= '1/1/2000' and ondate <= '6/30/2008' group by userid, srectype
3. Change the date range. This query counts appointments (A), calls (C) and emails (M)
4. You can send these results to Excel by right-clicking, selecting ‘Output to’ and then ‘Excel’

Distribute Leads Automatically Among your Sales Team

I get many sales leads, through email, from lead vendors, 3rd party websites and online forms on my website. One salesperson follows up on the leads from third party sites, while the leads from my website are handled by another salesperson. I ensure this by manually separating the email leads and distributing them. This takes time and also requires me to be available at all times to distribute the leads. Is there an easy way to do this?

If you are getting sales leads via email from many sources, use eMail-Lead Grabber to automatically distribute them among your sales team.

eMail-Lead Grabber allows you to set simple email-filter and distribution rules to distribute the email leads instantly and automatically among your sales team. It operates hands-free, and so it does not require you to be present.

Our sales specialists can quickly show how you can use eMail-Lead Grabber to automate email lead processing and distribution. You can either Schedule a Demo with them or Download a 10-day trial version of eMail-Lead Grabber to try it yourself.

Show Genuine Care for your Customers

Building relationships is one of the key areas that separate average performers from successful sales people. Care for your customers genuinely and understand that they buy from those they trust and respect. Build trust by being earnest and sincere in your approach.

Put yourself in your customers’ shoes. Ask the right questions to find out customer pain points and make each customer feel important by listening carefully to what they have got to say.

High energy or enthusiasm does not always ensure a sale. By showing that you genuinely care for your prospects and customers, you can connect with them in no time.

Maintain the Right Attitude for Selling

The attitude of a sales person is often based on how well things are going for him. If he is making good sales, his attitude is great; when things go wrong, so does his attitude.

Successful sales people realize that maintaining the right attitude always is critical to their success. They do this by controlling the environment they sell in. So, expect that you are going to hear a lot of NO's. Instead of losing heart, learn from every sales call - lost or won. Be motivated by each sales call. By doing this, you keep your confidence high and will continue to prosper.
