Problems related to parsing & transferring to the ListGrabber Standard grid
Can I check for duplicates in the Grid? Yes, ListGrabber helps you to check for duplicates while transferrring to Grid and Contact Manager. The duplicate check works based on the combination of Name, Company, Email Address and Zip. By default Name, Company and E-mail Address is selected. The dup Check icon in the ListGrabber Grid identifes the duplicates in blue and then click the Delete Sel icon to remove the Selected duplicate records from the ListGrabber Grid.
After processing, can I change the column heading in the grid? Yes, you can definitely change the column heading in the grid in order to transfer to the supported fields in the contact manager First, select the application you want to transfer to and click on the destination drop down list box on the ListGrabber toolbar. Now, right click on the column heading you want to change. Then you will see a menu appears with all the fields available in the destination application. Select the heading you wish to transfer to the Contact Manager and do a transfer. The addresses are transferred respectively to the selected field of destination.
What are the various conditions for the address parsing to ListGrabber Standard be accurate?ListGrabber will transfer addresses accurately, if
- The address is in US format.
- The list consists of homogeneous addresses.
- The appropriate option available in ListGrabber for parsing different type of lists are selected by the user.
Can I edit processed addresses before transferring them to my contact manager? Yes, you can. ListGrabber allows you to edit addresses before transferring them to your contact manager. Just double click on the record you want to edit or select the record and right click to access the short-cut menu
Sometimes the address information does not go in the correct fields after parsing. Why does this happen?
This may happen for any one of the following reasons:<
- The addresses may not be US format.
- There may be unwanted lines in your address list.
- The list may contain different types of addresses.
- The list may contain some non-address information.
Why does some information go to the unknown column? How to deal with this?
If the field is currently not available in the destination application, then it may go to the unknown column. Or the list may contain non-address information like comments or date of birth. This kind of information will go to the unknown column in the spreadsheet view and will not get transferred to the contact manager. To transfer data in unknown columns, right click on the column heading and select an available field from the context menu and transfer.
