You can temporarily save all your searched results in this Grid and later on verify the details, screen, filter, and sort the resumes in the Grid. Then you can transfer the relevant resumes alone to your contact manager or other application. Is it possible to transfer information, if the resume is not containing complete contact details?
The available details are transferred to corresponding fields in your contact manager. The rest of the fields, for which details are not available, are left blank. You pay for the license only once and can continue to use it througout

from the date of purchase.

month of purchase.
ResumeGrabber Grid is a powerful component that displays the contact information and other details extracted from resumes. You can filter, sort, and shortlist the resumes in this Grid. You can transfer the short listed resumes from the Grid into your application. This works effectively when your search engine provides results with thousands of resumes.
What are the details displayed in ResumeGrabber Grid?
In addition to Contact Information, ResumeGrabber extracts the following details from resumes and displays them in the Grid.
1) Experience of candidate.
2) Resume Age - No of days / months since you received the resume.
3) Keywords - If you have searched for any.
4) Percentage of relevance - to the searched keywords.
5) Source URL - The location or link to the original resume file.
Apart from this, you can also mark the resumes with specific location, specific hot keywords, rank with recruitment status, select job category suitable for the candidate, calculate the distance between your location and the candidate's location, and lots more.
What is the advantage of ResumeGrabber Grid?
When you are searching for resumes in various websites, you obtain thousands
of resumes. You need to screen the resumes and transfer only the relevant
resumes into your application. You can make use of ResumeGrabber Grid
to temporarily save your search results. Later on, you can filter and
transfer the selected resumes alone into your application.
How do I transfer resumes from ResumeGrabber Grid into my application?
You can filter and sort the resumes in the ResumeGrabber Grid. Select
the appropriate resumes and click the Transfer button. The selected resumes
are transferred into your application.

You can use the default values option to transfer the additional details
to your application. When you select your destination application, you
can setup the additional values to be transferred along with the contact
information. Refer to ResumeGrabber Help for more details on how to setup
default values.
What is the difference between "Rejected" and "Never Show"?
When you select these options, the resume is removed from the ResumeGrabber
Grid.
When you capture the resumes from the same source again, the rejected
resume is again displayed in the Grid with the status marked as "Rejected".
But the resumes marked with status "Never Show" are not displayed.
How do I check for resumes that I have marked as "Never Show"?
In the Miscellaneous Option Window, select the option Show "Never Show"
status resumes while shortlisting.
Now capture the resumes again. You can view the resumes marked with "Never
Show" status.
In the ResumeGrabber Grid, why the % of relevance column is not displayed?
If you have not entered any keywords to be searched for in the Toolbar while capturing the resumes, the '%' of relevance column is not displayed in the ResumeGrabber Grid.
If I want to search for a keyword and display the % of relevance, do I have to capture the resumes again?
No need to capture the resumes again. You can search for a keyword by using the 'Search' tab in the Grid and the '%' of relevance is displayed.
What is the difference between the Hot Keywords and the Keywords entered in the 'Search' tab?
When you search for the 'Hot Keywords', the resumes containing the keywords are marked with Icon. The resumes not containing the keywords are also displayed in the Grid.
When you search for a keyword using the Search tab, the resumes containing the keywords are filtered and displayed in the Grid. The resumes not containing the keywords are removed from the Grid.

You can change the view to 'Text View' or 'Snippet View' to make use of the Find feature. Otherwise, you can press 'CTRL + F' to find a keyword.
The resumes from the search results are not imported to the Grid properly.
While capturing resumes, you get a dialog box where you can setup the Filter. Check the settings. If you have setup the Filter to be 'High', chances of getting resumes is very low. Set the Filter to "Moderate' or 'Low' to get more resumes.
I have mapped the User-defined fields in the Grid. But no data is displayed.
Click 'Tools > Options'. In the 'Destination Setup' dialog box, setup the user fields. Click 'OK'. Now the user-defined field values will be displayed in the Grid.
I changed the options in 'Location Filter' and 'Hot Keywords'. But the changes are not reflected in the ResumeGrabber Grid.
Click the 'Rescan' button on the Grid toolbar to refresh the data in ResumeGrabber Grid with the updated changes.
Can I save the email IDs of the candidates?
Yes. Right-click the Heading 'Email'. Select the option 'Copy All Email IDs'. The email IDs are copied to the clipboard separated by a comma. You can paste the contents in Notepad and save the file.
I am capturing results from multiple search engines and there are chances of getting the same resumes from different search results. Can I avoid this?

The duplicate records are highlighted. You can delete the duplicate records by selecting 'Delete Duplicates' in the 'Dupe Check' menu.

How do I add the Education and Skill Sets to ResumeGrabber Grid?
Select the data you want to add to a column in the Snip View of the Grid. Right-click, point to 'Add to Field' and select the relevant field. Now the selected data is added to the selected column, separated by semicolon.
You can add the following four fields:
- Education
- Skill Set
- Job Title
- Company
Can I replace the column values?
Yes. Select the data you want to replace in the Snip View of the Grid. Right-click, point to 'Replace Field' and select the relevant field. Now the selected field value is replaced with the data selected in the Snip View.
How the distance is calculated?
You need to specify the 'From Location' in the Field Settings.
Click 'Menu>Options' in the ResumeGrabber toolbar. Click 'Field Setting' under 'Preferences'.
In this dialog box, click 'From Location' to open the 'From Location Setting'.
Select your State, City, ZIP code and Time Zone. Now the distance is calculated between the specified location and the location found in the Candidate's resume.
The distance field is blank for some of the records. Why?
The distance calculation works only for the US States and Cities. Check the address of the record. If it contains City or State that belongs to a country other than US, the distance field is empty.
How can I transfer resumes
directly into my application without opening ResumeGrabber Grid?
In the ResumeGrabber Toolbar, select your destination option in the To:
list and click Grab. Now resumes are directly transferred into the selected
application.
What is destination option?
The destination option is the method by which you can transfer
resumes into your application. These options vary according to your application.
For example, assume that you have selected Outlook as your application.
Then the destination option "Add Contact (Biz)" transfers the contact
details to the Business section of your Outlook Address Book.
What are the available destination
options?
Add Contact: - Transfers the contact details alone into your
application (either to the Business or Home section).
Add Contact+ Resume: - Transfers the contact details
along with the resume information into your application (either to the
Business or Home section).
The following options work for ACT! and Outlook only:
Add Notes: - Resume text is copied into the Notes section.
Add Links: - A link to the resume is created in the Notes
section.
Add Links + Notes: - A link to the resume is created
and the resume text is copied into the Notes section of your contact manager.
What is the advantage of
Add Links + Notes?
Assume that you have transferred contact details without the
resume information into your contact manager. Later, you can add the resume
information by using this option.
When you receive an updated resume from a candidate, where the contact
details remain the same, you can add the resume information alone to the
existing contact in your contact manger. Add Links + Notes creates a new
link retaining the old resume information for future reference.
When I transfer into ACT!, GoldMine or Outlook, the resume is saved in a default folder. How to save the resume in a different location and create the link?
You can change the location where you want to save the resumes in the Document Setup.
The resumes
are already saved in my system. How can I create a link in my application
to the existing resumes?
You can use the option Link to existing resume in the Document Setup window.
Can I save
the resume file in other formats?
You can either save the resume in the original format or as RTF (Rich
Text Format) file. You can convert the resumes to RTF by using the Document
Setup window. Refer to ResumeGrabber Help for more details on Document
Setup.
Can I check for duplicates in all the applications?
ResumeGrabber Pro checks for duplicates while transferring into ACT!, GoldMine, Outlook, PC Recruiter and Big Biller only.
After transferring resumes
to one application, is it possible to transfer the same resumes to another
application?
Yes. You can transfer the same set of resumes to different applications
by changing the destination setup. Refer to ResumeGrabber help to know
how to change the destination setup.
