What is the difference between ResumeGrabber™ Standard and AddressGrabber Standard ?
AddressGrabber creates a new contact record for any highlighted address but ResumeGrabber™ Standard creates a new contact record and Screens the resume for user defined keywords and attaches the document to the contact. ResumeGrabber™ Standard also provides access to 8 user fields that can be automatically filled with user specified data. ResumeGrabber™ Standard can attach any documents such as reference letters, job descriptions into a contact.

How do I Change the destination application?
Click on the Menu option in the ResumeGrabber toolbar and select the Quick Setup wizard, you can view the list of destination application just select the required one the ResumeGrabber toolbar automatically triggers the application and opens it.

I don't use ACT! / GoldMine/ Outlook. Can ResumeGrabber help me in saving the resumes?
Yes, with the "Data Export" feature in ResumeGrabber 2009 you can transfer resumes to any database. The new Data Export feature transfers resumes to a .csv file that can be opened with MS Excel, from where you can import the data into any database.
Do I require special training to use the software?
ResumeGrabber™ Standard comes to you with on-line help, which is very simple and straightforward. You may also download the user manual for detailed information on product usage.
Is it easy to file a Resume?
Yes, you can learn to file a resume in a few seconds. Simply open the Resume, select the address and click on the "GO" button on ResumeGrabber™ Toolbar. The resume gets filed into your contact manager. It is that simple!
Can ResumeGrabber™ Standard add the contact to the Home section of my contact manager?
Yes, ResumeGrabber™ Standard can add the contact either to the Home section or the business section of the contact Manager. Before transferring, the user has to select one of the options in the right combo box in the toolbar. If the user has selected "Add Contact [home] + Resume [home]" then the contact will be added to the home section of the contact manager.
Can ResumeGrabber™ Standard check for duplicates in the contact manger?
The user can check for duplicates on different combinations of the following fields Full Name, Company, E-mail id, Phone and Zip Code .When transferring addresses to the contact manager ResumeGrabber ™ Standard will check for duplicates. If a duplicate is detected the user can have the option to add the record as new, update the existing record or cancel the transfer.
Are there any limitations with duplicate check when working with Outlook?
You need to select Name and Company as duplicate check criteria.
Can I update the records in the Contact Manager?
ResumeGrabber™ Standard has 4 transfer options. Add as new, Update existing record, Warn if contact exists and Cancel. If the user has set Update existing record, ResumeGrabber™ Standard will first check for duplicates based on the indices set in the duplicate checking option. If a duplicate is found it will be updated (Adding the new links, appending notepad and updating addresses if there is a change).
I have my own filing system. Can I save the links to those files using ResumeGrabber?
Yes. If the user has a unique way of indexing and storing the Resumes, the user can save the link to that particular file in the contact manager. In the transfer dialog box there is a field to specify the path of the document. The user can browse the folders and select the location of file in the system.
How does ResumeGrabber™ handle resumes that are in WORD file?
ResumeGrabber™ Standard saves the file in RTF format thereby maintaining all styles and formats in the original document.
Can it handle Resumes that come in the body of my email?
Yes, you can do this without any problem.

Can I attach other documents such as reference letters and covering letters?
Yes, ResumeGrabber™ Standard can attach any document you view on the screen. Simply open the contact in the contact manager, then open the document you want to attach, click on the ResumeGrabber™ Standard and choose Add Links / Notes. The document you are viewing will automatically be attached to the current contact.
Can I have the Resume or document pasted as part of notes in contact manager?
Yes, ResumeGrabber™ Standard can be configured to link the document, paste the document into notes section or both.
Does ResumeGrabber support features like Checkbox / Radio Button / Multi page form on Online Resume Submission Form?

Can I transfer the Resume from any web link using ResumeGrabber?
Yes, you can transfer resume from any web link to ResumeGrabber.
What if the Resume is not completely filled, does it take all the information?
If the resume is not filled completely, that particular field which is not filled will be left blank while the rest of the fields are filled.
Does it transfer Resumes of different job postings?
Yes.
Can I use ResumeGrabber™ Standard to scan resumes on paper and file them away in GoldMine® or ACT!™?
No. The ResumeGrabber™ Standard scanning version is due for release in a short while. With this you can scan and attach resumes to your contact manager.
What operating systems does it work in?
ResumeGrabber™ Standard works with Win XP and Win 2000.
Is Mac version planned?
eGrabber™ is considering the possibility of developing a MAC version.
How do I install the ResumeGrabber™ Standard trial software and how long can I use it?
You can install the software after downloading it from the website and by double-clicking the installation exe. The installation wizard will guide you through the entire process. We also provide you a 'free evaluation' to test the product for three days after which it will expire.
To use the trial version you have to obtain a Free Trial License key, for which a valid e-mail id is a pre requisite. The trial version will expire after 10 days or after 50 transfers, whichever is earlier
How do I start the software using the Free Trial License key?
Enter the Free Trial License key in the space provided in the Product Registration Dialog box and click Register for the product to be initiated
Can I reuse the Free Trial License Key on different systems?
No, this cannot be done. You need to buy the software to use it again.
When my free trial expires, can I convert it to the full version?
After the free trial expires the product can be purchased by obtaining a License Key online or via email at

Once my trial version expires, can I download it again and reuse ResumeGrabber™ Standard Trial version ?
Once a Trial version expires after 10 days or 50 transfers, you cannot download the trial version again and work with it. But you can contact eGrabber Support Center and extend the trial version period by another 10 days.
Does the trial version come with all the features?
The trial version is fully featured but has a limited period of usability of 10 days or 50 Transfers, whichever is earlier
How do I trouble-shoot the problems in my trial version?
The trial version also comes with online help. If the problem is not covered in the help, please contact eGrabber's Technical Support.
How do I buy the product?

Where do I get the License key for the software?
When you fill-in your details into the Free Trial Form and submit, The License key is sent to you via e-mail to your e-mail id that you had mentioned in the form.
What are the processes involved after the purchase?
Once the purchase is over, the License Key will be sent to you enabling you to enter the same in the eGrabber Registration form which will appear when you click ' Register ' in the eGrabber Registration dialog box. The License key cannot be however used for multiple installations.
What if I am unable to register the License key?
The possibilities are that the License key is invalid or already used by another user. It could also be that the Internet connection is slow or has not been switched on to register the License Key/ Free Trial License key. But if the server is busy, please try again after some time.
How can I run the installation in different machines?
For the purpose of running the software simultaneously in different machines you need to purchase licenses for each machine separately. You can however get multiple licenses online at http://www.egrabber.com/ or call eGrabber Customer Support at 1-866-299-7314. But to run the software in different systems using the same License Key, unregister the product in System A, and then install and register in System B.
How do I upgrade my system and still work with the same License Key?
The primary step here is to unregister the product from the system. Upgrade your sustem and then install ResumeGrabber and register it using the same License Key.
Can I reuse the License Key on different systems?
It can be done provided the product is unregistered from System A, and only then register in System B by clicking Register to register in System B using the same License Key
How do I get a new key, if my hard disk crashes or my system is corrupted and I am unable to Un-register?
In exceptional cases such as the one mentioned above you can contact eGrabber Customer Support and get a new License key. Then the earlier key will be revoked and using it in future will violate the terms of the license agreement.
