After thinking about which resume entry software to with my growing database of 14,000+ candidates, I picked “Resume Grabber”, and, about the only question I now have is “why in the world did I wait so long. In this crazy world of far too many data entry “solutions” for staffing companies, “Resume Grabber” just might be the all time greatest value. It’s easy to install, has all the “real” features any agency would ever actually need, its very user friendly, and, I haven’t even mentioned that the software costs about 5x less than many of those other high priced, over featured, far too complex, techno-barges.

I am not one to write and rave about products that I purchase, but *your* product is SO incredible, I had to. I used the product for about 3 days of the trial period and realized immediately that this software was saving me *so much* time I couldn't live without it. The ability to put full text resumes, emails and other pertinent correspondence into my ACT!™ database makes my life so much easier.
I am probably saving about 15 minutes per resume I process, because you have eliminated the need to type the contact information and cut and paste the resume. I have always been behind in processing resumes because I receive so many, but now my "in" stack is current and there's no backlog of processing.

ACT!™ and ResumeGrabber™ combination makes recruiters more productive! -
With up to 25-30 positions open at any one time, I'm under enormous pressure. Time and good candidates, are the most precious things I have.
Plus, when I'm a submitting candidate to five or six positions, I could start to lose track. That's why I use a system that keeps thorough records and is very easy to use: ACT!™ and ResumeGrabber™ are my two essential tools.
ResumeGrabber™ is a program that allows recruiters to pull resumes off the Internet or email and download them directly into an ACT!™ with click of a button. Resumes can either be attached to ACT!™ as a Microsoft Word document, downloaded into the Notes field, or both.
Once I have processed my resume using ResumeGrabber™ into ACT!™ - to find the candidate I want to submit for a position, all I have to do is search on the key words that might appear on the resume, and their resume is ready to be submitted to the customer. It's that quick.
ResumeGrabber™ makes it easy to build my stockpile of good candidates. Here is how I process a resume into ACT!™ using ResumeGrabber.
- When I locate a candidate I just highlight the contact information on the resume, and click the ResumeGrabber™ icon. The information is transferred to a "Parse Results Table" for my review. Then, all I need to do is verify that the data is all in the right fields and click "OK."
- Once I approve the transfer, ResumeGrabber™ automatically creates a new ACT!™ Contact. All the information is automatically entered into the correct fields.
- Then, depending on how the Options are set up in ResumeGrabber, the resume can be attached to the Contact as a MS Word document and the text of the resume is added to the Notes/History section.
- Using the "Key Word Search," I can search all the Contacts in my ACT!™ database. This allows me to quickly zero in on top candidates for any given position.
- Once the contact has been added to ACT!™ I can then attach all e-mails between the candidate and myself by right clicking the ResumeGrabber™ icon, and selecting, "Add to current candidate," from the Option menu. Having this feature makes it easy to document and keep track of my communications.
ResumeGrabber™ also saves time by allowing me to simultaneously search candidates for multiple orders. "Say I'm searching the Internet for an oracle person and in the process I come across someone with great mainframe experience. All I have to do is quickly transfer the resume to my ACT!™ with a couple of clicks. There's no break in my search for the oracle person. There's no cutting and pasting. Best of all, in two weeks, when I get an order for a mainframe programmer, I'll already have that resume ready to submit."
In the long run, ACT!™ and ResumeGrabber™ makes me more proactive in running my business. I can work on more orders and I can efficiently handle more candidates. That makes me more of a resource to my customers-and a more profitable recruiter.
