Base One Technologies gets 300+ resumes each week via email and job portals. The resumes are transferred manually into ACT! and hence, painful. For the Recruiting Manager it meant more time spent on data entry and less on recruiting!
Routine problems encountered were- manual data entry, cutting-pasting inappropriate data onto ACT! fields, entering duplicate resumes etc. The lack of an efficient resume management system handicapped the recruiting processes.
He started looking out for a foolproof system that could -bypass the manual entry, check for duplicates i.e. incoming email attachments, resumes in recruiting portals and in ACT! database, warn and update the contact records-all without keeping a tab on any of these.
Flipping the pages of "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Act! 2000", the Recruiting Manager came across ResumeGrabber, downloaded the trial version and started using it. All it required was 10 minutes to set up and train the recruiters.
He never wasted time on the 'necessary evils' -manual entry, cut-n-paste and etc-of resume processing there after. He Just used ResumeGrabber! The combination of ACT! and ResumeGrabber established an efficient Resume Management System!
To transfer resumes from job site or incoming emails with resume attachment, the recruiter just highlights the address and clicks 'GO' on the ResumeGrabber toolbar. The resume is entered into ACT! Database.
While transferring resumes, ResumeGrabber would warn the recruiter if the resume already exists, allows the recruiter to update the existing resume with resume of the same candidate, add the new resume as new contact or cancel the entering process to the ACT! .
It can paste the resume information as 'Notes', attach the document as Word or HTML. In ACT!. Moreover it can exclude the duplicate information like address from the Notes/ Word /HTML documents .It can very well deal with the resume coming to the recruiter directly by email.
