 Problems faced

The Company used ACT! by Sage as their primary contact manager application to maintain all their business contacts and leads. Sam and his associates knew the importance of having a quality database of prospects and business sales contacts. The growth of their company was directly proportional to the size of their database (prospects and business contacts). But the problem was how to build lists of prospects and business contacts in a quick manner? The answer was - the Internet. Internet was a goldmine of sales leads and business contacts.

Initially, they started building their database by manually "copy-pasting" the contacts/leads from the Internet (sources such as white pages directories, yellow pages directories, Super Pages, Membership lists, Jigsaw, Chambers of commerce listings, etc.) into their ACT! by hand.
