- Are job boards limiting your products access to download the resumes?
The ResumeGrabber is merely automating what a typical user with do. Users will have to understand their respective contracts with the job boards before using the ResumeGrabber.
- Can you choose the format to which to convert of the resumes you are grabbing?
Currently the product supports converting to “Rich Text Format -.RTF” & this option can be selected by the user
- Have you considered the implications of the OFCCP Online Applicant rule with regard to the database search requirements?
Yes, we have made the efforts to be OFCCP compliant. The ResumeGrabber Grid is a simple way of previewing all the resumes you search and also allows the recruiter to easily save and organizes the search.
- Is there an easy way to import the spreadsheet results into your database?
This feature is not a part of the current version.
- Can you screen one particular city and only get candidates in that geographical area?
Yes, the ResumeGrabber can do that. It provides the options to screen by state, city and postal code.
- Can you insert a signature file into an email template?
Yes. Simply enter your signature, and save the template. Subsequently, the e-mail signature will appear when you send mail.
- Is this a Web based product?
No it is a software that has to be installed on your system.
- Can the resumes be pulled into outlook instead of ACT!?
Yes. The resumes can be pulled into multiple destination applications, including Outlook. This will be demonstrated later.
- Is ResumeGrabber able to upload resumes to Sharepoint?
We don't support Sharepoint directly, but using ResumeGrabber, you can transfer into an excel file or .csv format, which then can be imported into most databases.
- When you pull from different sources to the grid, Can you hide columns that are not important in the grid?
This feature will be included in the next release.
- How does it arrive at "experience" total?
It computes the last year of Under Graduation of the candidate or first year of Job. First year of Job, takes priority.
- When you email resumes do the notes show up?
No, the notes is the comment a recruiter enters for a candidate. It can be mapped to a field in a database.
- I noticed that the keywords and location information is saved from one search to the next. How do you start a new search with new keywords, locations?
You can define the new criteria in ResumeGrabber options and click re-scan within the grid. That will automatically use the new keywords and location.
- Is there a way to search within a search? To narrow down to a new keyword I think of?
Yes, you can do it within the GRID you have a search button in the GRID.
- Can you parse a PDF resume?
We can parse the PDF file it if is open.
- When sending resumes as just shown. Can fields be hidden, ie: demographic contact info?
ResumeGrabber will not truncate contact info from resumes, there are 2 features in this one to send interview call to the candidate and the second to forward interested resumes to hiring manager or collaborator.
- How many resumes does egrabber hold & does it save it's findings?
We recommend 5000 per saving. You have a Save option & to set a file name of your choice.
- If I search the job boards multiple times for the same job does resume grabber identify duplicates?
Duplicates are found when the resume is transferred into a database. Nevertheless same resume coming in from 2 Job Boards are shown in different color.
- What ATS systems are you integratable with?
We integrate with most of the popular ATS. We have the data export feature that would give the output as a CSV file which can be imported into any ATS.
- How long would it take to scan 50,000 resumes from folders?
We don't recommend scanning 50,000 at a go. Typically keep it to about 5,000 at a time. If you're talking about transferring into the resumegrabber grid for screening, each resume takes about 2-3 seconds. However, if you transfer into a database, that takes a few more seconds per resume.
- Can it create an activity when a new record is added? Can it create an activity when you replace an updated resume?
As of now, we do not support user defined Activity.
However, we add automated Activity right from the insertion of a new record.
eg: Name Imported by eGrabber. (Wed Nov-15 '06 1:56a/ADMIN)
Resume was updated (Tue Nov-21 '06 8:28p/ADMIN) etc...
- Is there a technical support phone contact (or) training?
eGrabber products does not require training. You can download them & start using right away. We do provide phone & email support. Phone: 408 872 3103.
No technical support is required. Any new feature update will be free for the first 90 days from the date of your purchase; after that you can purchase the next version if you feel the new feature would benefit you.
