What is ListGrabber™ Standard?

ListGrabber Standard is an automated data entry tool that captures information from contact lists into your Address Book or Contact Manager.

It can accurately capture lists of addresses from on-line directories, yellow pages, white pages directories, trade show lists, emails, text/document files, spreadsheets, scanned pages etc. and transfer them instantly to your contact manager.

ListGrabber intelligently identifies various fields such as name, company, title, address, phone, fax, email, etc. and transfers them into corresponding fields in your application.

How many addresses can I process at a time?

You can process up to 5000 addresses at a time. However, this also depends on your system configuration. If your system supports higher configuration, you can process even more than 5000 addresses at a time.

ListGrabber also allows you to export contacts to applications such as Salesforce.com, Jigsaw, PC Recruiter, BULLHORN, Prohire, Salesnet, cBizOne, Autotask, Rezkeeper, Yahoo, Thunderbird, Lotus Organizer, Microsoft Outlook Express and many more, in csv/txt format. The Universal Export Map in the product is compatible with almost all applications.

How can I transfer addresses if I do not have the application supported by ListGrabber?

ListGrabber supports Export feature that transfers the addresses to a CSV file. You can import information from the CSV file into your application.

The websites contain addresses in various formats. How can I transfer addresses from different websites?

ListGrabber supports various formats of addresses, automatically detects the format, and transfers the details. You can also customize ListGrabber to use different settings to capture information from websites according to the address format.

If you find a website that is not compatible with ListGrabber, send the website details to and we can customize ListGrabber to support the corresponding website.

  About ListGrabber Toolbar

Can I remove the Icons in toolbar without opening the 'Options'?

Right-click the required Icon in toolbar and select Hide Icon to remove the Icon from toolbar.

When I open another application, ListGrabber Toolbar is not visible.

Click Settings in ListGrabber Toolbar. Check whether the option Toolbar always in Front is selected. When this option is enabled, even when you open another application, the Toolbar is displayed in front of all the open windows.

I want to use the F8 key in another application. Can I disable this key in ListGrabber?

Click Settings in ListGrabber Toolbar. Click the option 'Enable Shortcut key to Capture to Grid' to enable or disable the shortcut key.

What is ListGrabber Grid?

ListGrabber Grid is a powerful component that can extract the contact details from your source and display the information in a tabular form.

You can verify, edit the details, check for duplicates, remove the duplicates, sort the addresses based on a particular field and then transfer the required addresses alone into your destination application.

What is the advantage of ListGrabber Grid?

When you are searching for addresses in various websites, you arrive at thousands of results. You need to verify the addresses and transfer only the relevant addresses into your application. You can make use of ListGrabber Grid to temporarily save your search results. Later on, you can verify, remove the duplicate information, edit, and transfer the selected addresses alone into your application.

Is it possible to save addresses from various websites in the ListGrabber Grid as a single file?

Yes, when you transfer addresses from various websites, the addresses are appended to the previous set of data in the Grid. You can add even thousands of addresses to the ListGrabber Grid from different websites and save the entire information as a single file.

How do I transfer addresses from the Grid into my application?

Select your destination application from the drop-down list available in the Grid. Click 'Transfer Selected' to transfer the selected addresses in the Grid. Click 'Transfer All' to transfer all the addresses in the Grid. The contacts are transferred into your selected destination application.

The ListGrabber Grid is displayed each time I capture addresses from various websites. Can I hide the Grid while capturing and later on open for verification?

In the ListGrabber Options window, click Miscellaneous. Clear the option 'Bring grid to the forefront after processing'. Now while capturing addresses, the Grid is not displayed.

Once your capturing is finished, right-click the Tray Icon and click 'Show Grid' to open the Grid that contains the captured information.

I closed ListGrabber without saving the data in the Grid. Is it possible to retrieve the data?

Yes. ListGrabber automatically saves the data available in the Grid in a temporary file. The file is saved with filename as 'LG Auto Save.txt' in the ListGrabber Folder.

You can open the file from the ListGrabber Grid File menu. This is a temporary file and saves only the last captured information in the Grid. Hence, save the data in a different filename to retain the information.

  Transferring into Applications

How do I transfer addresses directly into my application without opening ListGrabber Grid?

Select your source that contains addresses to be transferred. Click the destination application Icon in the ListGrabber Toolbar. Now the addresses are directly transferred into your selected application.

By default, the toolbar displays only the Grid Icon. Use the ListGrabber options to add your destination application Icon to the toolbar.

How to add my destination Icon to the toolbar?

Click 'Settings > Options' in the ListGrabber toolbar. In the ListGrabber Options dialog box, click 'Transfer Setup'. Select your destination application from the list that is displayed and click 'Show on ToolBar'. Now the selected destination Icon is added to the toolbar.

After transferring addresses to one application, is it possible to transfer the same addresses to another application?

Yes. You can transfer the same set of addresses to different applications. Click the required destination Icon in the toolbar to transfer the addresses.

Can I transfer additional information along with the contact details into my application?

Yes. You can assign default values to additional fields in your application and transfer them along with other contact details. Refer to ListGrabber Help to assign default values.

Can I transfer the email addresses only from a list of contact details?

While transferring, select the settings as 'Extract Email Addresses'. This option enables you to transfer the email addresses only from a list.

In the Contact Linker window, why the option 'Update existing contact' is disabled?

When ListGrabber finds more than one duplicate record in the contact manager, the option 'Update existing contact' is disabled. You can either add the contact as a new record or skip the transfer.

While transferring to Excel, the fields in addresses are separated by commas. One of my address lines contains a comma and hence is split into two different fields. How to resolve this?

If your field contains a comma, you can enable the 'Quotation' option in the Excel Transfer Options to avoid the fields being split into two. This option places the field with comma within quotation marks. When a field is found within quotes, the comma in the field is ignored and transferred as a single field.

What are restrictions in the trial version?

The trial version is fully functional but can be used only for specific period. After successful installation, you can evaluate the product for three days.

You can also obtain a Free Trial License key and use the trial version for 10 days or 50 transfers, whichever occurs earlier.

How do I obtain a Free Trial License Key?

If you have provided a valid email ID at the time of downloading the product, you receive your License Key at your email ID.

After installation, the eGrabber Product Registration window appears. Enter the License Key in the space provided and click Register Now.

Click Continue to start using the product.

My trial version has expired; can I download it again?

Once your trial version expires, you cannot download it again. However, you can contact our customer support and extend the trial version period for another 10 days.

I am not able to register the product. What could be the problem?

a) Check whether you have entered the License Key properly. You can copy and paste the License Key to avoid typing errors.

b) Ensure that you are connected to Internet at the time of registering the product.

c) The other problems are, your Internet connection may be slow, or the server may be busy. In these circumstances, check the Internet connection and try registering after some time.

Can I use ListGrabber Standard in multiple systems?

If you want to use the product in multiple systems, you need to purchase multiple licenses. Contact our customer support to get multiple licenses. If you want to use the product in another system with the same license key, follow the steps:

a) Unregister the product in System A.
b) Install and register in System B.

I upgraded my system. How to install and register ListGrabber Standard with the same license key? **

a) Note down your License Key number.
b) Unregister the product.
c) Upgrade your system.
d) Install the Product and Register again.

If you do not unregister the product, it is not possible to register again.

My hard disk crashed and I was not able to unregister the product. How do I register the product again? **

In such exceptional cases, you can contact our customer support to obtain a new license key. Your earlier license key is revoked and using this key in future violates the terms of License Agreement.

You can update ListGrabber by using this "Free Update" to maintain accuracy in transfer of addresses.

How do I get these Updates after 90 days?

If you want to receive the updates after 90 days, you can subscribe to the "Annual Upgrade Protection Plan". You can receive the updates for one year from the date of subscription.

"Annual Upgrade Protection Plan" includes all updates including free upgrade to new versions released.
